CDC Offers Online Wildfire Resource: Wild fires have recently raged across parts of Florida and California, damaging large swaths of land and putting public resources to the test. The National Institute of Safety and Health has recognized the role that firefighters play in protecting lives and property, and has partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to offer online resources to help firefighters prevent injury, illness and death caused by burns, heat stress, smoke inhalation and working on rough terrain and inside unstable structures.
